Aftermarket Purchasing Buyer \/ Senior Buyer

As a key member of our Purchasing team, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting market analysis assessments and exploring and validating future sourcing opportunities for both localization and export projects in China.
• Relationship & strategy development, supplier selection and establishing best value for money in order to meet your commercial objectives.
• Managing a budget across key commodity areas and ensuring quality, parts availability, value for money pricing and optimised cash management is achieved.
• Management of relationships with internal customers and stakeholders to provide the best overall outcomes from the supply chain, whether they are technical, commercial or logistical.
• Negotiation of pricing agreements with suppliers including management of raw material exchange rate movements and productivity reductions.
• Providing direction to support teams involved in delivery of Purchasing activities to meet your commercial objectives.
• Driving compliance with all Purchasing Policies & Procedures and legislative requirements.

Skills, experience and qualifications required

• Broad Purchasing Experience in automotive or manufacturing industry.
• Strong market knowledge and intelligence of the supply base.
• Ability to demonstrate effective negotiation styles and techniques. 
• Be initiative. Strong coordination & collaboration ability with internal customers.
• Able to manage and execute complex projects on time and in budget. 
• Excellent level of spoken and written English.
• Automotive Aftermarket Purchasing experience is a plus.
