Product Owner - Scenario Engine

The Opportunity

China PE CTI team is responsible for China local development and operation of Connected Car, Telematics, Infotainment onboard and offboard service and product for all crossline car programs.

Supporting Local Development (China for China) in features, systems, and components – including a specific Android Module Project
The role is to address the growing demand for enhanced user experiences, safety features, and operational efficiency in the connected car industry. As vehicles become a third space, not just transportation. The connected car services shall be integrated with vehicle hardware to provide more scenario-based services.
Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including all sub-domain ECU engineers, system engineer, etc to define detailed requirements for scenario engine service.

Prioritize features based on customer value, technical feasibility, and business impact.

Create and maintain user stories, product backlogs, and acceptance criteria for the development team.

Work closely with development teams using agile methodologies to ensure timely and high-quality feature delivery.

Engage with internal stakeholders include (but not limited to) Navi, Voice, Media product owners, UX/UI Designers, Developers, Architects to drive the solution from concept to production and continuous iteration.

Engage with external stakeholders include (but not limited to) development partners, VCDP (backend team), UK stakeholders to drive the solution from concept to production and continuous iteration.

Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create intuitive and user-friendly product experience.

Monitor product usage and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.

Use data-driven insights to iterate on features and enhance user experience.

Plan and coordinate product launches, ensuring proper communication and training for internal teams.

Identify potential risks and challenges in the product delivery process and implement strategies to mitigate them.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Software Engineering or related field

3+ years working experience in product design and deliver with a focus on connected car or vehicle control services

Strong understanding of connected car technologies, telematics, and automotive industry trends.

Experience with agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).

Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyse metrics and make informed decisions.

Strong leadership and project management skills.
-
Familiar with Electronic and Electrical architecture is a plus.
