AAD Onboard Software Senior Engineer - Perception

The Opportunity 

  

JLR are seeking engineers with a strong knowledge in developing and integrating artificial intellingence technologies into Assisted & Automated Driving. The person will evolve and develop artificial intelligence algorithms to support the development of JLR toolchain and in-house software capabilities to achieve autonomous driving. The candidate will be familiriar with the development of perception and/or decision making and/or prediction technologies. 

The primary responsibility will be to support the artificial intelligence software development and support the assessment of autonomus software provided by suppliers

• Deliver AI Algorithms based on incremental development of software components 

• Integrated the algorithms with the in-house software stack 

• Deliver High Quality Deployable innovative software increments that demonstrate business value in line with JLR standard software delivery/quality practices. 

• Delivery Fully Traceable Software increments from requirement to code unit including Low level design. 

• Deliver Continual Improvements to the software development process.

• Development of artificial intelligence technologies within ADAS system to support Feature on Demand development  

• Assessment of Artificial Intelligence Solutions provided by suppliers to evaluate: 

• Compliance with FuSA requirements; 

• Robustness of L4 solution presented by suppliers 

• Establish JLR KPI for autonomous driving solutions 

• Support technology readiness level evaluation 

• Support autonomous technologies technical assessment to enable certification and compliance activities  

• Ability to bridge technologies developments into technologies insertion in the vehicle  

• Ability to program in TensorFlow, Python, C++ 

• Understanding of Matab and Simulink Modelling  

• Support Software in The Loop Verification of AI technologies provided by supplier or developed in house 

• Define test cases for AI assessment and quality criteria  

• Ability to write algorithms based on given user requirements 

• Ability to asses algorithms based on user cases specified 

• Ability to work with Big Data to support decision making and Forecasting technologies
