We are building out a digital platform which is central to Jaguar Land Rover’s digital strategy.  The right candidate will have a central role to the development of this digital platform within the vehicle cockpit domain, how it grows and iterates over time, and how the teams that deliver it do to. Unsure of exactly what this means? Check out the award winning iconic Land Rover Defender, and look at the digital capabilities this vehicle has. The Cockpit team in China are gaining greater responsibility to deliver tailored and bespoke features and experiences to the most discerning of Chinese Customers. 

 

We’re looking for an experienced Srum Master to facilitate and lead our China Cockpit ecosystem delivery in JLR. You'll support the team in solving difficult problems, uncovering challenges, managing relationships, and ensuring our deliveries drive and exceed our standards e2e. 

 

This role is a unique opportunity to help define, support and grow a digital capability within cockpit at Jaguar Land Rover. You’ll be working closely with our multi-disciplined teams with opportunities to learn and enhance your career. You’ll have opportunities to contribute to the strategic direction of the products we deliver, as well as inspiring and influencing the wider organisation as we transform how Jaguar Land Rover builds and operates digital vehicles, together.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities  

  • Delivery of products using appropriate agile methodologies, learning & iterating frequently  

  • Ensuring the teams have everything they need to succeed in delivering work and their processes are optimal  

  • End to end involvement, supporting, facilitating and driving the right process, behaviours and outcomes at each stage of the Product lifecycle  

  • Helping our Product teams and their stakeholders build, maintain and prioritise product roadmaps and backlogs, ensuring they are deliverable at the right time  

  • Play a key role in team culture and spirit  

  • Doing the ‘Day to day; well, including facilitation of scrum teams for greater creativity and improved efficiency, managing the scrum process and the coordination of multiple scrum teams  

  • Metrics and Agile ‘reporting’ and lean governance alongside key project stakeholders 

  • Roll up your sleeves and help your developer team work through the product backlog if necessary.   

  • Be organized and engaged in the workflow to ensure nothing is overlooked

Knowledge, Skills and Experience  

We’re keen to talk to people with the following skills and experience:  

  • Experience in managing agile delivery through multi-disciplinary teams in a CE/CI/CD environment  

  • Agile/Lean advocate with experience of the full lifecycle, from UX and high-quality user stories to driving a satisfactory MVP and beyond  

  • Experience working with and supporting the major roles and functions of Product Development teams, including Product Managers, Product Owners and Analysts  

  • Working with Stakeholders at all levels  

  • Can explain and apply the fundamentals of Agile, DevOps, iterative software development and incremental delivery to both the new and the experienced  

  • Successfully applied Agile/XP/Scrum practices and introduced Agile techniques - you may have coached teams to apply these techniques effectively, even at scale  

  • An adaptable and pragmatic approach and a curious mind, continually asking ‘why’  

  • An appreciation of what ‘better’ looks like, and the will to make improvements happen  

  • Building and sustaining team culture and spirit  

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills  

 

The following skills and experience are a bonus:  

  • Working knowledge of other Agile/Lean methodologies such as Kanban and SAFe / Agile at scale  

  • Scrum certifications  

  • Knowledge / experience of JIRA and Confluence
