We’re looking for an experienced Group Scrum Master to facilitate and lead our digital product and service engagements with JLR. You'll support the team in solving difficult problems, uncovering challenges, managing relationships, and ensuring our deliveries drive and exceed our standards e2e.  

  

This role is a unique opportunity to help define, support and grow a digital capability within Jaguar Land Rover. You’ll be working closely with our multi-disciplined teams with opportunities to learn and enhance your career. You’ll have opportunities to contribute to the strategic direction of the products we deliver, as well as inspiring and influencing the wider organisation as we transform how Jaguar Land Rover builds and operates digital vehicles, together.

  • Clearly understanding and expressing project target, milestones, status, risks and issues.  

  • Ensuring the Development Team meet QBR goal and sprint goal.  

  • Identifying and removing roadblocks probably and on time.

  • Follows the fundamentals of the Agile framework and facilitate team to ensure that projects are a success.  

  • Ensure nothing is overlooked in the workflow.  

  

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities   

  

  

  • A Group Scrum Master is a skilled person who focuses on making things happen, accountable for ensuring their squads have everything they need to deliver.  

  • Providing enhanced value to the team and wider organisation with a focus on optimising delivery flow by utilisation of whatever methodology is best for the situation.   

  • Ensure the agreed processes are effectively executed, maintain the discipline of the process within squad and protect from negative external interference;   

  • Using data driven approach and toolset include JIRA, Tableau to measure the success of the process and proactively to modify the process for a better squad performance.   

  • Running and improving the agile activities within squad a in effective manner include:   

  • Hosting daily standup: daily to go walkthrough, efficient info exchange and dependency handshake;   

  • Organising Quarterly Business Review (QBR): Planned deliverable with priority, right resource and right timing within wider programme  

  • Organising Sprint planning and retrospect: Planning the sprint deliverables with priority, revisit what did well, what did wrong with improvement actions  

  • Organising and hosting squad level showcase ensure the highlights of squad are well communicated and acknowledge by stakeholders.   

  • Engage 3rd party stakeholders, identify dependencies and closely manage the dependencies so they don't become blockers  

  • Support Product Owners and their stakeholders build, maintain, and prioritise product roadmaps and backlogs, ensuring they are deliverable at the right time.  

  • Support the team training, skills uplift and innovation activities.   

  

Key Interactions   

  • Squad members: PO, HMI, System engineer, Developer, Architect, Validation engineer  

  • External customer: Management, cross domain squads (China, UK, India)  

  • External partners: Domestic Suppliers, International suppliers  

  

  

Knowledge, Skills and Experience   

We’re keen to talk to people with the following skills and experience:   

  • Skills: Fluent English with strong communication skills, having confidence to effectively express your opinion during debut and influence the decision. This is a must!  

  • Skills: Expert level on JIRA, Confluence, Lucid board to organise your daily work and communication.   

  • Experience: As delivery lead, one or more successful experience to design/ execute/retrospect agile practices that lead to high quality, on time delivery of the project in SW industry.   

  • Experience: As delivery lead, we expect the role to demonstrate a high level of project delivery discipline not to the role itself, but also influence to wider team member.   

  • Experience: As Group Scrum Master, successful experience on guide/ train team members for agile mindset, behaviour that leads to a good team culture.   

  • Knowledge: At least familiar one or more sub-system architecture of automotive electrical systems or Smart Cockpit SW stack.   

  • Knowledge: Building and sustaining team culture and spirit
