As a successful applicant you will be part of the HIL (Hardware In the Loop) Design Squad, a cross functional team where your strong Systems Engineering mindset and skills will complement our HIL technical expertise.

The team is responsible for the design, delivery, and maintenance of various XIL Test Environments with different levels of complexity, from one ECU in the loop to 30 ECUs in the loop by using either signal-based testing or scenario-based testing. This Team is going to provide service to different domains e.g., ADAS, Vehicle Cockpit, Vehicle Connected Data Platform etc.

To answer the highly dynamic and continuously increasing vehicle system complexity, as well as the uncertainty that it brings,

  • you will challenge the status quo and support the Vehicle Product Squads and Business with both tactical and strategic solutions,

  • by leading the definition and design of state-of-the-art harmonized HIL systems solutions.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

The role is to develop X- in- the-loop test environments for all testing in different DPP Domain.

  • Delivery of HIL systems designs at the required/agreed level of abstraction, across multiple Jaguar Land Rover Domains

  • System Functional and Non-Functional Analysis - carry out a range of analysis and investigations of the customer requirements to define the expected system functionality and their performance targets.

  • Evaluate multiple system design concepts and maintain integrity between system and its components to arrive at a harmonised solution

  • System Functional and Physical Architecture - Liaise with architecture teams and suppliers to maintain alignment with the specified programmes, as well as electrical and physical simulator architecture.

  • System Design Specification – prepare system requriements specification and developing functional designs, demonstrating how the system satisfies the defined customer requirements

  • System Integration – Define system logical and physical architecture, Interface Control Document and a system integration plan.

  • Lead cross-functional technical reviews on the systems.

  • Assist and contribute to the generation of system targets and verification methods that are driven by requirements.

  • Provide technical support and assistance across the rig operational team, on topics relating to the integration and harmonisation of multiple interconnected components.
